1. Who we are
MEGA (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides a software tool that helps Etsy sellers manage one or more Etsy shops. This policy explains what information we collect when you use MEGA (the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to data we process about you and data we access on your behalf through the Etsy Open API.
MEGA is an independent third-party application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Etsy, Inc.
2. Data we collect
Account information
When you sign up, we collect basic account details such as your name and email address so we can create your account and contact you about the Service.
Authorization tokens
When you connect an Etsy shop, Etsy issues us a scoped OAuth 2.0 access token and refresh token. We store these securely and use them only to perform the actions you have authorized. We never receive or store your Etsy account password.
Usage and technical data
We collect limited technical data (such as log timestamps, error events, and IP address) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.
3. Etsy data & API scopes
With your authorization, MEGA accesses your Etsy shop data exclusively through the official Etsy Open API v3. You approve the specific permission scopes during the Etsy OAuth flow, and you can revoke them at any time. The scopes we may request include:

We request only the scopes needed for the features you use. Order/receipt data may include limited buyer information necessary to fulfil and display orders. We do not request access to the buyer_email field unless it is required for a feature you explicitly enable, and any such access is requested from Etsy separately and used only for the stated purpose. We never sell buyer or seller data.
4. How we use data
- To provide and operate the listing, order, inventory, and dashboard features you request.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- To monitor, debug, and improve the reliability and performance of the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations and Etsy’s API Terms of Use.
We do not use Etsy data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent your data to third parties.
5. Caching & retention
To provide a responsive experience, we may temporarily cache certain Etsy data. We follow the caching limitations set out in the Etsy API Terms of Use, and we refresh or discard cached data within the periods permitted by those terms. We retain account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account or disconnect a shop, we delete or anonymize the associated Etsy data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it to meet a legal obligation.
6. Sharing & sub-processors
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers (“sub-processors”) that help us run the Service — for example, cloud hosting and error-monitoring providers — under contracts that require them to protect your data and use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information if required by law.
7. Security
We protect data using industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, restricted internal access, and secure storage of OAuth tokens. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any vulnerabilities we become aware of.
8. Your rights & deletion
You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can disconnect any Etsy shop at any time — either from within MEGA or directly from your Etsy account under Shop Manager → Apps. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact us at support@megapodtool.com and we will action your request promptly.
9. No scraping commitment
MEGA accesses Etsy data only through the official Etsy Open API using authenticated OAuth tokens. We do not scrape Etsy.com, we do not circumvent the API, and we do not collect Etsy data through any unofficial means.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Service.
